If you search for "Osaka Expo Ranking" on social media, you'll find that many people have ranked their favorite pavilions, which can be very helpful!
1st place: Japan Pavilion
First of all, the Japan Pavilion!
It is a large-scale facility, and is packed with information about "life and the things between life," including the Martian rocks that are famous on TV, and a waste recycling plant.
The Japan Pavilion was so popular that it was almost always ranked high on social media by people who said, "This is the pavilion I personally liked!"
There are programs at the Japan Pavilion that require advance reservations and programs that can be viewed without reservations .
▼Programs that require reservations
- Japan Pavilion 3 Area Viewing
- Japan Pavilion Biogas Plant Tour with Museum Viewing
- Japan Pavilion Architecture Tour with the Designer
No advance reservations are required...
You can view the exhibit without making a reservation between 9:30 and 10:30 and 19:30 and 20:30 .

2nd place: Sumitomokan
Sumitomokan is almost always mentioned on social media when people say that this pavilion was great!
Based on the concept of "Let's go to a future that starts from the forest," the interactive experience of encountering various stories of life in the forest and the tree planting experience were popular.
Many people said that it was fun to walk through the vast forest with a lantern.
3rd place: Osaka Healthcare Reborn Experience Route
Osaka Healthcare's Reborn Experience Route allows you to meet an avatar of yourself 25 years in the future, created based on your data, and experience healthcare and urban life in the future.
To use the Reborn Experience Route, you need to make a reservation in advance (free of charge) , but it's so popular that it's hard to get a reservation, as was the topic of discussion at X.
It takes some time to get to experience it, but it's so much fun, many people recommended giving it a try!
4th place: Italy
The Italian Pavilion was designed by MCA Mario Cucinella Architects and has the theme "Art Regenerates Life," and many people on social media commented that "Italy was the best!"
This is an opportunity to see genuine art pieces that would normally only be seen in Italian art museums , and there aren't many other opportunities like this except at the World Expo.
Every day from 6pm there are a variety of live performances at the amphitheater!
The Italian Pavilion, which can be seen from the Grand Ring, is a truly amazing gallery, showcasing masterpieces by Tintoretto and Caravaggio, as well as the Farnese Atlas.
5th place: Pasona
PASONA has adopted the concept of "Thank you for life," and is hosting a variety of exhibits on the theme of "Body, Mind, and Bonds," including the latest technologies such as iPS cardiomyocyte sheets, which are used to create the heart, a symbol of life.
The iPS heart is the highlight, but the NATUREVERSE show is the highlight!
This is a popular pavilion with a strong message .
6th place: France

The theme of the French Pavilion is "Hymne amore."
First of all, the stylish and romantic concept is very French and wonderful.
Through the "Legend of the Red Thread," in which two people's little fingers are tied together by an invisible magic thread, we propose a vision of a new future guided by various kinds of "love," such as "love for oneself," "love for others," and "love for nature."
On social media, the bread sold at the France Pavilion was incredibly delicious!
7. Jordan
Jordan's theme is "Weaving the Future."
The impressive pavilion is made up of 22 tons of red sand transported by ship from Wadi Rum, a protected desert area known as the filming location for the films "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker."
Many people on social media were excited, saying, " It's amazing to be able to step on real Jordanian sand! "
8. America
The theme of the America Pavilion is "Imagine what we can create together."
It offers American leadership in technology, space exploration, education, culture, and entrepreneurship.
The large-scale production was typical of America, and many people commented that they felt like they were an astronaut!
9th place: The Future of Life
The Future of Life is a pavilion that I have been personally interested in since a conversation between Matsuko Deluxe and Hiroshi Ishiguro was previously broadcast on television.
There were many comments on social media saying, "I was moved to tears."
The android that depicted the future of humans 1000 years from now was incredibly impressive and has stayed with me.
10th place: Gas Pavilion Ghost Wonderland
A pavilion where you can experience the world of ghosts by wearing XR goggles.
The CO2 produced when gas is burned is transformed into a new energy source called e-methane and circulates again.
This very popular pavilion allows visitors to experience technologies that will lead to carbon neutral gas.
It is especially recommended for families with children.

Reservation/queuing on the day Quick flow chart
What if there is a museum you absolutely want to visit?
Yes → Enter the lottery 2 months or 7 days in advance (up to 5 theaters)
No → Free admission + available slots on the day
What if I lose the lottery or buy tickets at the last minute?
Dash into the same-day line when the doors open (Japan / Signature / Major Corporate Pavilions start at 7-8am)
What if you have a family or senior and want to avoid long waits?
Focus on the International Pavilion, which has free admission, in the morning → Tour the Grand Ring and attend outdoor events in the afternoon
Osaka Expo Summary
For popular pavilions, the rule of thumb is to make a reservation by lottery in advance or visit first thing in the morning.
You only need to wait in line for about 70% of the international pavilions, so if you want to avoid the queues, try to go in the morning or evening.
The same-day slots are updated every hour and it's surprisingly easy to get one if you get one early in the morning, so we recommend updating the app and checking the queue frequently!
Enjoy your tour of the Expo pavilions with minimal stress!
