Summit New Year's holiday. Will all stores be closed for the first three days of 2025-2026?

Summit has announced that all Summit Stores and Colmopia stores will be closed during the first three days of the New Year in 2026 (January 1st to January 3rd), with the exception of a few locations.

 

 

 

Closure for the first three days of the New Year in 2026

 

 

The closure period will be from Friday, January 1st to Sunday, January 3rd, 2026.

 

 

Stores subject to closure: 118 Summit stores and 33 Colmopia stores will be closed.

 

 

This initiative is based on the "GO GREEN Challenge Declaration," which summarizes the social issues that the summit will address based on the SDGs, and aims to "create an environment where people can work with enthusiasm."

 

The company will be closed to prepare for a "lively and fun" start to 2026 and to welcome customers back.

 

 

It's true that many stores are open and remain open over the New Year holidays these days, but Summit's proactive decision to close like this is admirable and refreshing.

Some stores, especially those located in shopping centers (SCs), plan to stay open over the first three days of the New Year.

Of these stores, Lala Terrace HARUMI FLAG, Lala Terrace Kita-Ayase, and Sakuragicho Collete Mare will be closed on January 1st but will be open on January 2nd and 3rd.

Officially, there has been no announcement regarding specific opening hours for the end of the year, such as December 31st, 2025, only the first three days of the New Year in 2026.

 

Normally, the store is closed for three days after the New Year, so it is expected to remain open until New Year's Eve this year as well.
